Despite her efforts to avoid it, Seattle seamstress Angel Fraley will have to testify in a lawsuit accusing Facebook Inc. of violating her privacy.
On Tuesday U.S. Magistrate Judge Paul Grewal in San Jose denied Fraley’s motion for a protective order that would have kept her from testifying in the purported class action first filed in California state court and moved to the Northern District in March 2011. Named plaintiff Fraley claims in the suit that Facebook used her image and name to advertise products to her Facebook friends without her permission.
