LAWYEROLOGY! is a legal blog written, updated and edited by Rob Sullivan, President and Managing Member of Sullivan, Morgan & Chronic LLC, a Kansas City, Missouri law firm. Ford Inbody, SMC’s Director of Information Management, is also a frequent contributor to the blog, posting several articles weekly related to document and information management issues. Shaun Bender, SMC’s Straight Up IT Pimp Specialist (yes, that is his official title), is responsible for management of the site, as well as a large part of the design of the site.

But heck, if you’ve read the blog you know that LAWYEROLOGY! is not limited to topics directly related to the law. Psychology, science, sociology, marketing, movies, apps, technology. Throughout his legal career, Rob has handled cases in a variety of areas including product liability, semi-truck accidents, railroad accidents and vehicle defects. As lead counsel, Rob has obtained a number of favorable results on behalf of injured people and their families, including a seven figure verdict listed as one of the Top 20 verdicts of 2006 in Missouri and most recently a 7 million dollar wrongful death verdict in a trucking case in Arkansas Federal Court in 2011. Rob was also co-counsel in a 2005 verdict against Ford Motor Company where his client was awarded 17 million dollars in damages due to a defect in a Ford vehicle. Rob is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and has been selected as a Top 100 Trial Lawyer for every year since 2007 by The National Trial Lawyers Association. Rob has also been selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers 2010 and 2011 in the practice area of products liability.
Rob earned his B.A. in economics from Boston College, and his J.D. from University of Kansas School of Law with the highest honors (Order of the Coif), ranking in the top 2% of his graduating law school class. Rob is an active member of numerous professional associations. He currently serves on the Board of Governors for the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys (MATA), the State Advisory Board for the Association of Plaintiff Interstate Trucking Lawyers of America (APITLA) and as Chair of the Executive Committee for the Railroad Law Section of the American Association for Justice. Rob has had numerous speaking engagements on a local and national level and has published several articles including articles published in the national publication Trial Magazine. Rob is admitted to practice law in Missouri, Kansas and Arkansas, and currently handles cases from coast to coast, including cases in Maryland, Florida, Tennessee, Arkansas, Minnesota, Kansas, California, Oklahoma, Illinois and Vermont.
